Angela was awarded a $1,000 research grant by Nu Rho Psi, the only nationally-recognized honor society in the area of brain research! She has additionally been recognized with the G. Andrew Mickley Undergraduate Research Award (coming with additional $1,000 travel grant), which is given to a behavioral neuroscience project that advances the body of knowledge regarding how the brain learns and remembers and is of sufficient scope that publication or wide dissemination of the results is likely. Way to go, Angela!

Hannah-Marie successfully defended her honors thesis. She was also awarded the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. This is an extreme honor given the major slash of the cohort size this year; she's one of the only three awardees among seniors at UNC. And lastly, she was admitted to the joint graduate program in neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University and Janelia Research Campus. Congrats, Hannah-Marie!
